I figure I'll throw this out here now...let it sit for the season to get people's thoughts and opinions.
I'm all for expanding our keepers to 3 bats and 3 arms while keeping the same price/value system. This would be more work for Spin, and his work needs to be taken into consideration, but I also think it would promote more activity in the league.
Sure, some of us check the waiver wire more then others. I feel by expanding the keepers that people would not only check the waiver wire more (if they wanted to remain competitive) but it would also give a boost to an already stagnant trade market.
Most trades are made by myself, to either Spin, Brad or Alan. I'm not saying you need to make trades to be successful (IE Russ and Guzz) but making trades would make the league far more interesting and fluid. By allowing teams to keep more players we would be encouraging activity in an effort to build a more competitive team. It would also allow teams who do not keep the full players an opportunity to draft players they could make into keepers.
What do you guys think?

I'm all for expanding the keeper limit, and if there is enough support for this, I'll make up an official poll, and we'll put it to a league vote.

I told Alan to sign on and respond. He's all for it though.

I have no opinion one way or the other as I rarely find 6 guys I want to keep. I will support whatever's voted on.

Eight would be more like a real keeper league, I figured some owners wouldn't be up for that as too much expansion would be scary! lol
I would be down for eight.

Now it's up to 8? Why don't we just go hardcore and you start the following season with the team you finished the previous season with? Those who can trade and work the waiver wire best will be the ones that succeed.
