I'd like to get everyone's opinions on keeper rules for next year. These are the things I'd like to get a discussion on: - Number of keepers per year
- Number of seasons you can keep players
- Lose first picks in draft or lose pick that player was taken at
- Any stats people might want to add/drop
- What to do when someone's draft window passes (auto-pick or skip)
Anything else you might want to discuss.

I think two was a sufficient number for keepers this year. Lester's already abusing the Peyton Manning rule, so... 3 seasons? I dunno.. haven't really thought about this topic. Lose first picks in the draft, for sure. I think the losing of picks where a player was drafted is fine for the baseball league because there's so many rounds and so many top players, whereas here, I think it's more fitting to lose the first two picks. Stats are fine.. I think we've handled the Marcus situation just as we should have. I'm sure if Len were here, we'd be auto-skipping him too. The thing that slows us down the most is waiting on people to make their picks after a day or two, we lose momentum and people forget about the draft because of the length. I actually am not sure why Marcus is still in this league.. we wait on him constantly every season. Enough of us have access to AIM, phone #'s, email that we keep it moving pretty quickly. So I'd say the auto-skip, best available is the perfect way to go. I want to discuss removing Russ as commissioner. We all have a sunset sometime..... Just kidding... Kind of.

Number of keepers per year -
I like the two keepers per year... MY only real suggestion would be to have people actually use their keepers. This sort of goes with the topic about it being worth a 1st rd or rd taken, because I think there is plenty of people that would like to keep a few players but don't think they are worthy of 1st rd picks. Say you have Ryan Grant... Why get rid of him, because you have the 1st pick because your team didn't do that good and you have the 1st pick? Come on, stop being such a wuss. The whole reason of making a keeper league is to have kepers.
3 or 4 people use it, and everyone else is in a redraft.
I say we start keeping two people each year, and we start at rd 1 the way we have and still use the same format. Or else we should just drop the keeper league and just go with a redraft every year since that is what this is for people waiting for players to get dropped.
Number of seasons you can keep players -
I'd say 3 seasons per player.
Lose first picks in draft or lose pick that player was taken at -
I stated my preference up there... keep 2 and start draft in rd 1 with who's left.
Any stats people might want to add/drop
I like our stats
What to do when someone's draft window passes (auto-pick or skip)
This year went pretty well with the auto-skip... But I think Marcus took advantage of it. It's like he said screw it once he saw he'd get top player available. Sorry, but if you get skipped twice you need to be on auto-skip from there on out. .02

[/b] I like the 2 keepers per year. I also like what John suggested in that everybody be forced to keep 2 players. If you don't have 2 guys on your team at the end of the season worth keeping, what did you do all year? [/li][li] Number of seasons you can keep players[/b] Trying to keep the LT/ADP combo out of this (damn you Russ), I'd say 3 seasons on the same team is a good length. After that, it's time to move on. Maybe this will promote some trading mid-season, if someone knows they won't be able to keep that player for the 4th season. [/li][li] Lose first picks in draft or lose pick that player was taken at[/b] I think this is the only way to do it for football. Otherwise the draft would just turn into the "whoever guessed right on the rookies in rounds 10-15" draft. [/li][li] Any stats people might want to add/drop[/b] Can we get holds in football? [/li][li] What to do when someone's draft window passes (auto-pick or skip)[/b] This one is easy. Your first skip results in a missed pick. If you don't return to make-up that pick before getting skipped a 2nd consecutive time, you should lose your team. This is fantasy football. It's not hard to find a replacement owner. [/li][/ul] Anything else you might want to discuss.

I'd like to get everyone's opinions on keeper rules for next year. These are the things I'd like to get a discussion on:
* Number of keepers per year For this league, and it's format, I think keeping two players per year is fair. Different format, more people, cash league...then I would say go to three keepers.
* Number of seasons you can keep players In past leagues the rule has been this, on the third year you keep a player it costs your first two rounds worth of picks to keep them. The year after it would be the 1st and 3rd round pick, and so on. I think that would work here.
* Lose first picks in draft or lose pick that player was taken at I believe that rule works better in baseball compared to football. I'm for keeping two guys and that's your first two rounds worth of picks.
* Any stats people might want to add/drop $5 dollar cash league? That would be sweet!
* What to do when someone's draft window passes (auto-pick or skip) In the leagues I've been in, if someone is skipped (normally passed out drunk, didn't pick up their cell phone or being an idiot) we'd take a player that wasn't shitty but wasn't very good either. Like taking Chad Pennington in the third round.
