This way we start over, so that everyone has a chance to start off on the right foot, and with a finished draft.
Hopefully.

I'm not signing up for this. We had a draft, mos tof us with common sense set our rosters. I'm fine with the way things are. If we're going to do a second league I'm not in.
See if someone else will take my roster, this is retarded.

I'm in and see that I have one pick left in the 15th round. I'll try to keep on top of the draft order and if I miss it, I give Lester rights to make my last selection since he has a better idea of who is remaining. Good luck to everybody and hopefully, basketball goes better than football is going right now.

Just fix/edit accordingly on the league we already have... there's no reason to lose people that spent the last month putting together their team. We missed one day, edit guys line-ups for the rest of the week and put the right players on the right team. give people like me their rightful draft picks without making me use my waiver wire, etc. I've never been in a rotissere league where you can only edit your line-up once a week, that's ridiculous. Weekly basketball changes are made for head to head leagues only.

I don't see why we're losing people either, Guzz. If we could get Yahoo to throw out the opening day's scoring (since it was a commissioner error) and start the league officially with all 10 lineups, I'd be all for it. But since it doesn't look like that is going to happen, this is the best way to give everybody a fair shake.
IMO, Artis is being beyond unreasonable by refusing to join this new league without a good reason, and we can't mourn his departure and lose even more of the season.

It's not that you even have to throw line-ups out.. the commissioner can EDIT line-ups IN. If we a lose a day who cares, John can put everyone's line-ups in right now and we'll be fine.

Actually, I tried. It didn't let me, so I'm going this way.
As far as this being the place people check, then why is it I asked what people thought and I got no response?
This...commissioner error...as it was put, was because no one paid any attention to what was going on besides their pick. SInce day one, there has been nothing said but how we can change it to suit your needs, and you're still complaining about stuff now.
It's been posted since day one that the league was going to start on Monday, and while I changed everything else...I did not change the roster set up from weekly to daily. While that was my mistake, it was not my mistake that certain people did not have the common sense to update their rosters on the day it was set to go into effect. Most everyone else did, but of course...that's my mistake.
So now, to fix this little time error--since Yahoo will not let me edit it in the original league--I set up a new one to start this week, and now Artis quits. Peck says, well replace him, and Guzz wants to know why...
Well, if people would have sent lists to others to speed up the draft, we would have been done about a week ago. Instead, we had to wait six hours for a 12th rd pick of some bench player that may or may not get a start...
SO yeah, instead of complaining about what happened, just make the damn picks already.

My reasoning is that I don't understand why we need a new league. Guzzy said its fully possible to change the league to a daily update and I am perfectly happy with the stats my men have gotten so far. Those who updated their roster for the day season was supposed to begin shouldn't be panalized because others did not. Not saying it was anyones fault that they didn't, but its not even remotely fair to those who did note the season opening date to lose what stats they've already acrued. It is Peck's position that those who did participate and update their roster for opening day should lose that day and that's unfair. So yeah I'd rather not participate than have things screwed up. Its not as bad as Peck's coin flip fiasco that gave Guzzy MY championship, though

if EVERYBODY doesn't get first day stats, nobody should...the commissioner didn't make an announcement telling people he was loading rosters, and he personally told at least two of us that he was going to finish the draft as scheduled.

So basically everyone who paid attention should suffer because YOU didn't? You knew what day the season started, it'd also take you 5 second to go to the page and check yourself. The majority of us had no problem noting that opening day was upon us.
So we should be inconvienced because Peck wants to toss a tantrum in yet another fantasy league?
Fuck that

As John said...if we would have made our picks on time none of this would have been an issue. Now you know why I'm such a dick about getting the rounds finished.

I agree with Artis, since I'm losing 30 points from Nash, 25 from Ripchard, and a fucking double double with 7 dimes, 3 steals, and 2 boards from Matrix.

So if we join this new league are we redrafting or keeping our same team? My god this is not worth the hassle, thankfully I'm in two other leagues that are organized. I don't see why we don't do a live draft, this board drafting is ridiculous... I blame Lester, I think he started it a few seasons ago.

Peck started the draft board idea...and I think it's a great one.
For what it's worth, our commish needs to do one of two things.
1. Say we're using the new league and if the person doesn't like it they can quit. Be firm about it.
2. Use the old league and blame the people who TAKE FOR FUCKING EVER to pick, or who never send out lists to shut up and deal with it.
Personally, I'd go with the second option. Is it the Commish's fault that people held up the draft? No. He got his shit done and had to start the league at the last second because shit never got done.

Fuck that yeah, i'm the one quitting the league b/c I'm sad about having to sign up to another page. maybe it was a tantrum, maybe it wasn't. All i know is that when i'm TOLD that we're going to finish the draft, and then I find out after tipoff on opening day that the commissioner went ahead and uploaded rosters, and I'm going to miss out on the first week of scoring because of it...yeah, I'd say raising a stink is justified. If rosters had been unlocked and I'd been allowed to submit my lineup for thursday, I suppose things could have been worked out. But now with the rosters STILL locked and my team being shut out of the weekend as well as last night's games, yeah....it's beyond unfair. My personal stance is that we should have finished all 15 rounds of the draft before uploading any rosters, even if that meant missing parts of the NBA season...if people are still taking their entire alotted time and we're in december, so be it. The league **SHOULD NOT** have started until the draft was completely over. And yes, the people who spent 14 hours on every single draft pick without sending a list are at the very top of the "at fault" list. -Peck

If your 14 and 15 picks are going to make your season, you've already lost.
