Change of plans [if you read the original mail]...
Commons Basketball is... MOVING!
No more yahoo, it sucks. Instead we are shaking things up a bit to try to keep league interest throughout the season since Basketball leagues always die by the All-Star Break. Instead, this year we are doing a head to head league where you only score 1 W per week based on the categories. So, like football, you can only gain 1 W or 1 L each week of the season to keep competition up a bit.

League Name: Commonwealth Basketball 07
Password: nwc
There are 8 categories.
Pts, Stls, Boards, 3 Pters, Assists, Blocks, FG%, and FT%.
I know what you're thinking, even number... lots of ties! Well, think again. In a result of a TIE, the winner will be the team with the MOST POINTS SCORED. I mean really, the category we think about most in Basketball is player points so why not make it worth a bit more like it should be.
There will be 10 Active Roster Spots
PG, SG, G, F, SF, PF, C, C, Util, Util
And... ONLY THREE Bench Spots.
This creates a bit more skill in basketball especially with the amount of injuries that occur. Do I keep a guy, Do I drop a guy.
There is NO MAXIMUM of how many times you use each position each week... HOWEVER, there are only 35 ADD/DROPS allowed per team. Thus, if you want to save your add/drops till the last weekend and go crazy you can. If your team is in a must win week and you want to blow your load that week, go for it. However, once you reach the 35 cap you are done and you are stuck with the team you have. This INCLUDES playoffs. ADD/DROP wisely.
I have the league set for 12 teams, Two divisions... with 6 playoff teams. I may change it to Four, but playoffs are fun, so we'll see/vote on it.
Any questions/concerns, ask away...
